Ear or auricular acupuncture

Ear or auricular acupuncture is the placing of small acupuncture needles, intramural needles, pressure studs or magnets in the ear. It has been used in Europe with much success since the 1920s.

The ear is seen as a microcosm of the whole body in Chinese Medicine much as the feet and hands in Reflexology. Due to this the ear can be used to treat the whole being.

Ear acupuncture can be prescribed by itself and is received whilst sitting or lying. It is often used during full body acupuncture sessions to support and amplify the treatment.

Many have found ear acupuncture to be useful for problems related to stress and anxiety, overcoming addictions and as an aid to the recovery of substance abuse.
